FED. Launches ‘Meal Mate’ – Matching Singles Based on Their Tastebuds

Because nothing says romance like a shared love of lasagne.

This April Fools’ Day, ready meal company FED. is serving up something new — and it’s not just dinner. Introducing Meal Mate, a playful new opt-in feature for single subscribers that matches FED. customers based on their flavour preferences and weekly order habits.

Yep, we’re playing Cupid. With carbs.

Launching today, Meal Mate appears as an optional add-on in customer subscription profiles. Once opted in, single customers will receive a suggested "meal match" — someone else in the FED. community with similar taste in food (and hopefully life).

“Our algorithm already knows whether you’re more of a butter chicken or beef bourguignon person,” says FED. Founder Megan. “We figured — why not use that knowledge to help you find someone to share your Friday night FED. with?”

Early match insights suggest dessert lovers are more likely to be romantics, roast fans crave stability, and spice lovers? Say no more.

To opt in, simply log into your subscription profile and look for the Meal Mate prompt. Your first match may just be one click — or one curry — away.

And yes, we might be kidding.
But also… what if we’re not?

Happy April Fools’ Day.
